ANGER MANAGEMENT!!!!

We all can get angry sometimes, but how we handle our anger can be important, especially in front of an important person, like a teacher or a boss at our job.

When you get angry about a situation, how do you deal with it? What do you say to the person who angers you? Do you stop to think before you act? What are some positive ways to manage anger?

Below, describe the ways YOU manage YOUR anger, both positively and negatively. How can you be more positive in dealing with your anger?

  1. Getting angry is very easy, the hardest part is to handle the anger. In front of an important person I usually try to calm down. I always try to think about something else, take few deep breaths or count to ten (in my head). Sometimes it works but not always. I try to explain my point of view or just say nothing and try not to hear what he/she says.
I'm not that calm when it comes to my friends and family members. Usually I don't try to calm down. We argue or I just slam the door and leave the house. Sometimes I say "You're right". In most cases I don't mean it but this can easily stop someone's talking...

  2. I am a kind of person who can get nervous very easily. I think the easiest places to be irritaed are home, work, store and on the way in traffic. In the car I listen to music which can make me happy or just smile. Often I try to say to myself that I can not do anything with this so getting nervouse does not help me. At home my kids sometimes drive me crazy with yelling,crying...,but very often I try to think that they are just kids. For me to relax is good to take a very long hot shower. Some other time when it is nice weather I put my kids in stroller and we are going for a very long walk to make me very tired. It is good to clean the house to forget about problems.

  3. I am the type of person who does not get angry easily on anything. I get angry when somebody does something too much or abuses me of being nice to them. I try to manage my anger by being calm and quiet to the situation or just walk away. I would always tell myself that being angry is not worth it and, just a waste of my time. I often tell myself that there are a lot more things important to do than being angry on something.

  4. When I am getting angry I always try to think about something nice, or count to ten to make myslef calm down. I am very patient, but it sometimes happens to me that I lose my temper and treat people around me very badly. Especially when something annoy me for a long time and I can't do anything to stop it I get very upset. When I am really mad at everyone I usually yell at people around me. I also try to let off steam by going to the gym. When it doesn't help I come back home and eat candies, becouse something sweet always makes me happy :)

  5. I sometime get angry just like everybody esle. But most of the time I try to stay calm. I usually think carefully about the consequence before i act. If I can, I will let it go. I'm sure that I won't feel any better after I tell soneone off.Usually I go to the gym to calm me down and forget what happened. My mom always say that "big problem will become small problem and small problem will become nothing" if I can stay calm. I always keep that in mind and it work almost 99 percent.

  6. I'm a person kind of patient. If someone makes me angery I would prefer being patient. Generally, I think before I act. Anger just wastes someones time. If I get extremely angery I smoke cigarette and think again. I know smoking is bad habbit but it helps to manage my anger.
